After serving in the US Air Force, Jerry joined The Egan Companies in 1955 and served in many capacities including thirteen years as President and CEO until he retired in June, 2000. He will long be remembered for his generous, passionate and humorous spirit along with his deep and abiding love for his family and friends, love of golf, and his hard work and good deeds. We were blessed to have him in our lives. Survived by his loving wife, Mary sons, David (Mary), Tom (Cheryl), and Joseph daughters, Pam (Brad) Blahna, Diane (Bob) Slayton, Denise (Rick Brannon) Egan, and Elizabeth (Rich) Salem sisters, Myrtie Welch and JoAnn (George) Kertesz and grandchildren, Chris, Melissa, Kate, Mark, Kevin, Anna, Jack, Megan and Michael. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Ella Egan brothers, Costney and Bill and sister, Evie. Egan, age 71 died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 3, 2003.
